A tradition at our annual train show is the delivery of a few select clinics on topics related to narrow gauge railways and the modeling of them.
These were the clinics at our 2018 show:
- Bernard Hallas – 3D printed models, particularly in OO9 but principles applying to all scales.
- George Dutka – 8 Products I use in modeling, with emphasis on working with wood and plaster castings.
- Mike Walton – Exploring the Preserved Narrow Gauge Railways of Germany paying particular attention to the extensive narrow gauge steam railways of the former East Germany.
- Jeff Young – Sir Arthur Heywood and 15″ Gauge Railways, including modelling them in 1/12th scale.
- One standout from last year was a presentation by Jeff Young and Peter Foley of their extensive research into the history of the famed Huntsville and Lake of Bays Railway for their about-to-be-published comprehensive book on the subject!
